VICTORY MEDAL with RIBBON

This item belonged to my UNCLE.   I inherited it.   We are downsizing and must sell many of our fine things.
This is a highly UNUSUAL – VICTORY MEDAL/RIBBON.    It has a silver/chrome – “USN” – MOUNTED  – on the front of this medal – See photos.    I have not seen one like this in all of my research.     It is in preowned – VINTAGE – USED – condition as shown in my photos.  Minor rubs/wear to certain raised surfaces as shown.     It is not damaged but showing some patina marks/spots from years of storage.   Most likely they could be polished off(?) – but I’ll let the lucky NEW OWNER decide about doing anything like that.  The original ribbon is in very good shape as shown.   No tears, holes or repairs.   It is showing nicely, original, stitching/thread on its backside – holding the Service Bar – “AVIATION” – in one place – as it should.    My photos show a heck of a lot more than my words can describe – SO Please check-out CLOSELY the many photos that I have posted above for your own, personal evaluation.
The medal is just a hair over 1.4″ in diameter.   The “AVIATION” service bar is 1.5″long.   The ribbon itself is about 1.65″ long.   The matching gold tone(?) SPRING RING clasp that allows for attachment of the medal to the ribbon is unique and unusual.  See Photos.   I was told that this type of clasp was used on some of the earlier issued medals.
This would make a FANTASTIC addition to your COLLECTION of VICTORY MEDALS.

shipping/packaging to ANY of the lower 48 UNITED STATES – with Tracking/Delivery included.    Insurance provided by Seller when applicable.   My shipping cost is a flat rate estimate.    My shipping charges are based on shipping from LOS ANGELES.    Needless to say, I do not know the specific destination, in the Continental USA, that this item will be shipped to.    So if you think the estimated shipping/packaging charges are not reasonable, please simply reduce the amount of your bid to what YOU think the shipping cost SHOULD BE.    USPS shipping cost have skyrocketed the past couple years.    My intentions are to NOT make any profit on my shipping/packaging charges.   I have lost money on my estimated, flat rate shipping charges on some of my estimated shipping charges – in the past.

I follow all eBay POLICES and STRIVE for 5-STAR SERVICE on each and every TRANSACTION.   Please remember, when YOU GIVE 4 STARS, it may seem like a GREAT SCORE, BUT a 4 ON ANY STAR is a 4.0 and EBAY considers this a SUB PAR MARK SINCE THE minimum REQUIREMENT IS 4.40.    So, if you are happy with your TRANSACTION PLEASE RESPOND WITH ALL 5 STARS.    IF YOU ARE NOT PLEASED/HAPPY then just LET ME KNOW and WE WILL WORK to try and MAKE IT THAT WAY very quickly.
